Shares of aluminium producer Zhongwang tumble 18%

China is awash in aluminium but export taxes on primary aluminium combined with rebates on aluminium products encourage companies to process the lightweight metal into downstream products in China, export them, and remelt the exports back into primary metal or other products once overseas.
