Unifor, a Canadian labour union, has filed for a judicial review in the Supreme Court of British Columbia to challenge an October 2014 decision allowing the Rio Tinto Alcan Inc. aluminum smelter expansion to proceed without installing sulphur dioxide (SO2) scrubbers.
