Traders say puzzled by elevated traded prices for Feb-loading Newcastle thermal coal

The market for Newcastle 6,000 kcal/kg NAR thermal coal was again active Thursday and two 25,000-mt parcels for February loading at the Australian port traded at an elevated level of $69/mt FOB in the Asian trading session on globalCOAL, market sources said.
