JEA taking big generating unit offline in response to declining sales, upcoming regulations

JEA is taking its oldest and largest generating unit at the Northside Generating Station offline in December 2015 in response to declining electric sales and a bevy of new federal environmental regulations that will likely cost utilities around the nation hundreds of millions in compliance costs and upgrades.
